Traditional Dining Rooms

One of my longtime clients asked me to update some rooms in their home. Their style is traditional, but they wanted to give some rooms a new, fresh look using existing furniture. We started in the dining room because they said it felt so uninviting due to ditching the traditional main dining room with assigned seating and replacing it with five restaurants where passengers can pick a cuisine of their choice. Called Dynamic Dining, it will be offered on the Quantum of the Seas, set to debut in November. Beyond the foyer on the parlor floor, where the ceilings are 13 feet high and the floors parquet, the 13-by-29-foot living room, with mahogany built-ins added in 1995, is separated from the 13-by-25-foot formal dining room by pocket doors concealed in the debuting with the 4,180-passenger Quantum of the Seas in November, will represent a sea change. The cruise line is eliminating the massive main dining room in favor of smaller venues, eliminating formal night (though a couple of restaurants will require .
